Here is another stunning, unique, show piece from the Kjellander Brothers of Sweden. It isn't like any other work I've seen from them before, and I'm sure it will add drama and sparkle to a special spot in your home. The vase is 4 inches tall, 4.75 inches across the rim, and 2.25 inches across the planed pedestal base. It weighs over 1.5 pounds.
The Kjellander brothers, Nils and Åke, were fourth generation engravers. They, their father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all began as engravers at Kosta Glassworks, long before the Boda merger. The Kjellanders did not make glass, but they could sure engrave it. The brothers, along with their father, Lars Johan, opened up their own shop in 1924 and stayed in business until 1983.
