Kjellander Brothers, Sweden, Little Girl with Flowers, 1950's Lead Crystal 5" Vase, Copper-Wheel Engraved
This sweet little girl was engraved on a Swedish lead crystal vase by the Kjellander brothers, fourth generation engravers. The round vase is small, 3" across and 5" high, and it weighs a pound. It is a stunning little piece, certain to add sparkle and spunk to a special spot in your home.
At the Kjellander Workshop of Sweden, brothers Nils and Åke used copper wheels and a slurry of grit to engrave this image. Their father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all began as engravers at Kosta Glassworks, long before the Boda merger. The Kjellanders did not make glass, but they could definitely engrave it. The brothers, along with their father, Lars Johan, opened up their own shop in 1924 and stayed in business until 1983.
