This vintage glass vase from the 1950's has a traditional Swedish motif of a dove in flight, carrying a laurel branch to signify peace. It has clean lines, and a beveled edge - a sleek design, characteristic of its designer, Bengt Edenfalk. It is blown into a mould and copper-wheel engraved, and it's signed on its base with the company name, Skruf.
The vase is 3" x 1.75" x 4.25", and it weighs 1.2 pounds. It is in excellent condition.
The Skruf Glassworks was founded in 1897 and is still operating today. Bengt Edenfalk was the artistic director at Skruf from 1952 - 1978. This was a very popular design - and still is - charming and timeless.
