This stunning item is an Art Deco etched crystal vase from the Swedish glassworks Elme Glasbruk (often simply referred to as Elme).
The piece features a signature copper-wheel engraved design by the renowned Swedish glass artist Emil Weidlich (1895–1986), who served as a principal designer and leader of the engraving workshop at Elme from 1931 until 1942.
The motif portrays a classic Art Deco nude female figure holding a cornucopia or pouring floral vines, showcasing the elegant, fluid form and delicate detailing that defined Scandinavian art glass of the 1930s.
The small red and gold shield-shaped sticker at the base is the official vintage Elme company label, which confirms its origin from the factory before it eventually closed.
The vase is 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall and it weighs 5.5 pounds. There are two very small chips on one of the edges (see photo), other than that, it's nearly perfect. Amazing since it's nearly 100 years old!
