German Crystal 48 oz. Pitcher, Engraved Fish, Balzer Fishing Gear Corporate Gift

$99.00

This beautiful, versatile pitcher, was made for the German fishing gear company, Balzer, likely in the 1980s or 90s. Glass from Germany is not my specialty, so I can't tell you a lot, but a fellow FB glass group member suggested that it might be made by von Poschinger,

This pitcher is in excellent condition, with no more than a few small scratches. It is 5" in diameter at its widest point and 9" tall, and it weighs about 4 pounds. It looks like the fish are either acid etched or sandblasted and the details are wheel-cut. As you see, it is quite lovely with the sun shining through it, and I'm sure it would look great on a family dinner table, at a lakeside cocktail party, or filled with flowering branches. This special pitcher would make a lovely gift or a wonderful accent for your home décor.
